信任與順從 August 10th, 2014 Trust and Obey

我們上禮拜有提到信任與順從Trust and Obey, 今天再來談, 是因為我想特別解釋 “順從Obey” 這個字; Jai-yu幫忙解釋說：之前你們都把它當服從解釋, 當然沒有錯, 只是在基督教教義裡, 它有更深一層的解釋 –就是歸順與服從.

我們都知道聖經有新約、舊約之分, 舊約裡講的是耶和華和人們的關係, 只是人們做了太多傷害祂的心, 也一直在接受懲處, 唯有神愛世人那是恆古不變的,

新約, 則記載的是耶穌基督誕生以後的事, 從祂的出生、傳福音、死亡、死而復活, 除了是很多人的見證記載, 也與舊約及穆爾曼經裡記載先知的敘事, 相互呼應與見證.

今天要談的兩事件, 都跟信任與順從有關, 第一件事是：

民數記 Numbers 21:6-8

6 於是耶和華使火蛇進入百姓中間、蛇就咬他們、以色列人中死了許多。

Then the LORD sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died.

7 百姓到摩西那裡說、我們怨讟耶和華和你、有罪了、求你禱告耶和華、叫這些蛇離開我們．於是摩西為百姓禱告。

The people came to Moses and said, "We sinned when we spoke against the LORD and against you. Pray that the LORD will take the snakes away from us." So Moses prayed for the people.

8 耶和華對摩西說、你製造一條火蛇、挂在杆子上、凡被咬的、一望這蛇、就必得活。

The LORD said to Moses, "Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live."

為什麼看一眼火蛇就能活命? 這裡講的重點是在於你信不信, 我耶和華對摩西所說的話, 如果相信就能得救; 一板一眼的東西, 對我耶和華所說的話, 絲毫沒有折扣的餘地, 且無關乎蛇毒醫病, 要嘛信得救, 要嘛不信等死, 就這麼簡單. 神愛世人在在表現無疑, 世人對耶和華卻常常背信離棄.

約翰福音 John 3:14-15

14 摩西在曠野怎樣舉蛇、人子也必照樣被舉起來．

Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,

15 叫一切信他的都得永生。〔或作叫一切信的人在他裡面得永生〕

that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.

摩西舉火蛇在竹竿上, 一如耶穌基督被舉在十字架上, 相信而望一眼祂的人, 終能死裡逃生或死而復活.

阿爾瑪書 Alma 16:191-195

１９１　他被摩西講起過；是的，在荒野中曾豎起一個記號，凡願看那記號的可以活命。許多人看了而得活命。

191 Behold, he was spoken of by Moses; yea, and behold, a type was raised up in the wilderness, that whosoever would look upon it might live. And many did look and live.

１９２　但很少人瞭解那些事的意義，這是因為他們心地強硬的緣故。

192 But few understood the meaning of those things, and this because of the hardness of their hearts.

１９３　而有許多人是這樣的頑強，他們竟不願觀看，因此他們滅亡了。

193 But there were many who were so hardened that they would not look; therefore they perished.

１９４　他們不願觀看的原因是由於他們不信那記號會治逾他們。

194 Now the reason they would not look, was because they did not believe that it would heal them.

１９５　我的弟兄啊，如果你們僅用你眼睛瞥一下就可以被治癒的話，你們不願很快的看嗎？還是你們寧願在不信中硬起你們的心，懶得用你們的眼睛瞥一下，因而死去呢？

195 O my brethren, if ye could be healed by merely casting about your eyes, that ye might be healed, would ye not behold quickly, or would ye rather harden your hearts in unbelief, and be slothful, that ye would not cast about your eyes, that ye might perish?

而信心的重要性, 比如說冥頑不靈的人, 寧死也不願看一眼 – 那足以讓他活命的機會; 而一般普羅大眾, 都是抱著寧可信其有的心態, 雖然投機, 卻反而救了自己一命; 所以我在這裡也要勸各位, 如果有這樣的狀況, 請給自己選擇看一眼, 擁有唯一活命的機會. 神愛世人的應允, 沒有終止的期限, 只有信靠祂的人, 才能得到永生的機會.

第二件事是：

尼腓一書 1 Nephi 1:48-50; 53-54

４８　因此，我向上主呼求；他已眷顧我，並柔和我的心，使我確信我父親所講的全部話語；所以，我沒有像我哥哥那樣反抗他。

48 Wherefore I did cry unto the Lord; and behold he did visit me, and did soften my heart that I did believe all the words which had been spoken by my father; wherefore I did not rebel against him like unto my brothers.

４９　我對賽姆講話，使他知道上主藉著他的聖靈所顯示於我的事情。

49 And I spake unto Sam, making known unto him the things which the Lord had manifested unto me by his Holy Spirit.

５０　他相信了我的話語。

50 And it came to pass that he believed in my words;

５３　上主對我說：尼腓，由於你的信心，你有福了，因為你用謙虛的心努力地尋求我。

53 And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto me, saying, Blessed art thou Nephi, because of thy faith, for thou hast sought me diligently, with lowliness of heart.

５４　祇要你接受我的誡命，你一定會順利繁榮，你要被帶到一塊應許之地；就是已為你預備好的地方；也就是一處比所有其他土地都更美好的地方。

54 And inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall prosper, and shall be led to a land of promise; yea, even a land which I have prepared for you; yea, a land which is choice above all other lands.

耶和華派使者告知李海, 以色列的聖地耶路撒冷, 即將被毀滅, 要他轉告城裡的人, 快快逃命, 卻沒有人願意相信他; 就算家人裡也有不相信的(長子); 耶和華又派使者告知李海, 僅快帶家人離城而去, 先遷往荒野待命, 再前往應許之地(Land of Promise).

李海舉家他遷, 往荒郊野外等待耶和華的指示, 雖然衣食無缺, 可是就這麼待在這荒郊野外, 毫無目的地, 時日一久, 怨聲載道四起; 他的小兒子, 出面安撫並祈求禱告, 覺得有天使在他耳邊輕聲細語, 卻又字字句句清晰無比. 更加堅定父親的決定.

尼腓一書 1 Nephi 5:11-12

１１　我父親早晨起來，走向帳幕門口的時候，使他大為驚異的，是他看到地上有一個製工精巧的圓球，那是用黃銅製成的。

11 And it came to pass that as my father arose in the morning, and went forth to the tent door, to his great astonishment, he beheld upon the ground a round ball, of curious workmanship; and it was of fine brass.

１２　球裏面有兩根轉軸；一根指著我們要進入荒野的方向。

12 And within the ball were two spindles; and the one pointed the way whither we should go into the wilderness.

耶和華又差天使告知, 往哪裡去尋找辨別方向的儀器(古代的指北針),依據所指示的方向前進, 將可抵達耶和華所答允的應許之地(Promise Land).

阿爾瑪書 Alma 17:71-82

７１　現在，我的孩子，我必須講一點關於那件我們祖先稱為圓球或導向器的東西；我們的祖先也稱之為萊亞亨拿，翻譯出來就是羅盤；那是上主所準備的。

71 And now my son, I have somewhat to say concerning the thing which our fathers call a ball, or director; or our fathers called it liahona, which is, being interpreted, a compass; and the Lord prepared it.

７２　沒有任何人能做出那樣精細的工藝。

72 And behold, there can not any man work after the manner of so curious a workmanship.

７３　那是準備著為我們祖先指示他們在荒野中旅行的方向的。那件東西是依照著他們對　神的信心而為他們操作的。

73 And behold, it was prepared to shew unto our fathers the course which they should travel in the wilderness; and it did work for them according to their faith in God;

７４　所以，如果他們有信心，相信　神能使那些紡錘形物指出他們應走的路線，它們就指出了；因此他們曾有這奇蹟，以及許多其他的奇蹟，一天天藉著　神的力量而做成。

74 Therefore if they had faith to believe that God could cause that those spindles should point the way they should go, behold, it was done; therefore they had this miracle, and also many other miracles wrought by the power of God, day by day;

７５　雖然那些奇蹟是由小方法做成的，但對他們曾顯出了奇異的工作。

75 Nevertheless, because those miracles were worked by small means, it did shew unto them marvelous works.

７６　有時他們很懶惰，忘記運他們的信心和勤勉；於是那些奇異的工作就停止了，他們的旅程也就沒有進展了；

76 They were slothful, and forgot to exercise their faith and diligence, and then those marvelous works ceased, and they did not progress in their journey:

７７　因此，他們逗留在荒野中，或者說，他們沒有行走在一個準確的方向中，並且由於他們的犯罪而受著饑渴的痛苦。

77 Therefore they tarried in the wilderness, or did not travel a direct course, and were afflicted with hunger and thirst, because of their transgressions.

７８　現在，我的孩子，我希望你要明白這些事情並非沒有一種預兆的；因為當我們的祖先們疏於注意這羅盤時（這些事情是屬世的）他們並不順利；在屬靈的事情方面也是這樣。

78 And now my son, I would that ye should understand that these things are not without a shadow; for as our fathers were slothful to give heed to this compass, (now these things were temporal,) they did not prosper; even so it is with things which are spiritual.

７９　基督的道指示你一條到達永恆極大幸福的直路；要注意基督的道是很容易的，就像我們祖先們注意這個會指示他們一條到達應許地的直路的羅盤一樣容易。

79 For behold, it is as easy to give heed to the word of Christ, which will point to you a straight course to eternal bliss, as it was for our fathers to give heed to this compass, which would point unto them a straight course, to the promised land.

８０　現在我要說，在這件事上沒有一個表徵嗎？正像這導向器曾帶領我們的祖先，藉著跟隨它的方向而到達應許地一樣地確實，如果我們跟隨基督話語的方向，也必將我們帶離這悲傷之谷，而進入一處好得多的應許之地。

80 And now I say, Is there not a type in this thing? For just as surely as this director did bring our fathers, by following its course, to the promised land, shall the words of Christ, if we follow their course, carry us beyond this vale of sorrow, into a far better land of promise.

８１　我的孩子啊，不要因那方法容易而使我們疏懶；因為我們的祖先就曾有過這樣的情形；那方法曾為他們預備好，如果他們肯看，他們就可以活命；對我們也正是這樣。

81 O my son, do not let us be slothful because of the easiness of the way; for so was it with our fathers; for so was it prepared for them, that if they would look, they might live; even so it is with us.

８２　那方法已預備好了，如果我們肯看，我們可以永遠活著。

82 The way is prepared, and if we will look, we may live for ever.

時至今日, 科技昌明, 身處五花八門的大千世界, 我們所要依循的方向在哪裡? 我告訴各位, 聖經裡的每一章節、每一字句, 就是指引我們方向的指南針; 養成每日讀經的習慣, 我們因為相信而啟閱聖經, 更應該要相信它所給予的指引.
