ARTICLES OF FAITH 12–11,12 信心的12條文之11,12

We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.

我們信我們從屬於國王，總統，統治者和司法長官，要服從，敬重和維護法律。

We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

我們信我們要誠實，真誠，貞潔，仁愛，善良，並為所有的人做有益的事;實在我們可以說我們是聽從保羅的忠告──我們凡事相信，凡事盼望，我們已忍受了許多事情，希望凡事都能忍受。任何善良，優美，好名聲，或值得讚揚的事，我們皆追求之。

And that law of the land which is constitutional, supporting that principle of freedom in maintaining rights and privileges, belongs to all mankind, and is justifiable before me.

6 不喜歡不義．只喜歡真理．

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

7 凡事包容．凡事相信．凡事盼望．凡事忍耐。

摩羅乃書 7:50-53 (Moroni)

50 人若心裡溫順謙卑，並藉著聖靈的力量承認耶穌是基督，就必定有仁愛；因為他若沒有仁愛，就算不得什麼；所以他必定需要有仁愛。

And if a man be meek and lowly in heart, and confesses by the power of the Holy Ghost that Jesus is the Christ, he must needs have charity; for if he have not charity he is nothing; wherefore he must needs have charity.

51 仁愛是恆久忍耐又有恩慈，不嫉妒，不張狂，不求自己的益處，不易被激怒，不動惡念，不在罪惡中快樂，只在真理中快樂，凡事包容，凡事相信，凡事盼望，凡事忍耐。所以，我心愛的弟兄們，你們若沒有仁愛，就算不得什麼，因為仁愛永不止息。

And charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth.

52 因此，要固守著仁愛，那是一切事物中最偉大的，因為一切事物終必止息。然而仁愛是基督純正的愛，這種愛永遠持守；凡在末日被斷定有仁愛的，他的景況一定很好。

Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail; but charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with them.

53 所以，我心愛的弟兄們，要全心全力向父祈求，好使你們滿懷父賜給祂兒子耶穌基督的真正信徒的這種愛；使你們得以成為神的兒子；使我們在祂顯現時像祂一樣，因為我們必得見祂的真體；使我們懷有這個希望；使我們被潔淨得像祂一樣純潔。阿們。

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen.

腓立比書4:8 Philippians

弟兄們、我還有未盡的話．凡是真實的、可敬的、公義的、清潔的、可愛的、有美名的．若有甚麼德行、若有甚麼稱讚、這些事你們都要思念。

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.
