本周延續上星期的主題, 繼續來談談有關耶穌基督的幼年時期, 所發生的大事件之一二.
路加福音 Luke 2:25-30; 32-35
25 在耶路撒冷有一個人名叫西面．這人又公義又虔誠、素常盼望以色列的安慰者來到、又有聖靈在他身上。
Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon,
who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel , and the
Holy Spirit was upon him.
26 他得了聖靈的啟示、知道自己未死以前、必看見主所立的基督。
It had been revealed to
him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's
Christ.
27 他受了聖靈的感動、進入聖殿．正遇見耶穌的父母抱著孩子進來、要照律法的規矩辦理。
Moved by the Spirit, he
went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do
for him what the custom of the Law required,
28 西面就用手接過他來、稱頌 神說、
Simeon took him in his
arms and praised God, saying:
29 主阿、如今可以照你的話、釋放僕人安然去世．
"Sovereign Lord, as
you have promised, you now dismiss your servant in peace.
30 因為我的眼睛已經看見你的救恩、
For my eyes have seen
your salvation,
32 是照亮外邦人的光、又是你民以色列的榮耀。
a light for revelation
to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel ."
33 孩子的父母、因這論耶穌的話就希奇。
The child's father and
mother marveled at what was said about him.
34 西面給他們祝福、又對孩子的母親馬利亞說、這孩子被立、是要叫以色列中許多人跌倒、許多人興起．又要作毀謗的話柄．
Then Simeon blessed them
and said to Mary, his mother: "This child is destined to cause the falling
and rising of many in Israel ,
and to be a sign that will be spoken against,
35 叫許多人心裡的意念顯露出來．你自己的心也要被刀剌透。
so that the thoughts of
many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too."
馬太福音 Matthew 2:1-5; 7-8; 11-12
1 當希律王的時候、耶穌生在猶太的伯利恆．有幾個博士從東方來到耶路撒冷、說、
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi
from the east came to Jerusalem
2 那生下來作猶太人之王的在那裡。我們在東方看見他的星、特來拜他。
and asked, "Where
is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and
have come to worship him."
3 希律王聽見了、就心裡不安．耶路撒冷合城的人、也都不安。
When King Herod heard
this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem
with him.
4 他就召齊了祭司長和民間的文士、問他們說、基督當生在何處。
When he had called
together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them
where the Christ was to be born.
5 他們回答說、在猶太的伯利恆．因為有先知記著說、
"In Bethlehem in Judea ,"
they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written:
7 當下希律暗暗的召了博士來、細問那星是甚麼時候出現的。
Then Herod called the
Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had
appeared.
8 就差他們往伯利恆去、說、你們去仔細尋訪那小孩子．尋到了、就來報信、我也好去拜他。
He sent them to Bethlehem and said,
"Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him,
report to me, so that I too may go and worship him."
11 進了房子、看見小孩子和他母親馬利亞、就俯伏拜那小孩子、揭開寶盒、拿黃金乳香沒藥為禮物獻給他。
On coming to the house,
they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him.
Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of
incense and of myrrh.
12 博士因為在夢中被主指示、不要回去見希律、就從別的路回本地去了。
And having been warned
in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.
東 方來的 博士們, 依史家詳細推敲, 他們身處東方, 瞧見新星誕生, 遂一路跋涉, 覲見約是在耶穌基督兩歲左右時, 也才符合希律王要殺害城中約兩歲大嬰孩的條件.
馬太福音 Matthew 2:13; 16; 20; 23-24
13 他們去後、有主的使者向約瑟夢中顯現、說、起來、帶著小孩子同他母親、逃往埃及、住在那裡、等我吩咐你．因為希律必尋找小孩子要除滅他。
When they had gone, an
angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said,
"take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt . Stay there until I tell you,
for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him."
16 希律見自己被博士愚弄、就大大發怒、差人將伯利恆城裡、並四境所有的男孩、照著他向博士仔細查問的時候、凡兩歲以裡的、都殺盡了。
When Herod realized that
he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill
all the boys in Bethlehem
and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time
he had learned from the Magi.
20 起來、帶著小孩子和他母親往以色列地去．因為要害小孩子性命的人已經死了。
and said, "Get up,
take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel ,
for those who were trying to take the child's life are dead."
23 到了一座城、名叫拿撒勒、就住在那裡．這是要應驗先知所說、他將稱為拿撒勒人的話了。
and he went and lived in
a town called Nazareth .
So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets: "He will be called a
Nazarene."
在以色列境內, 摩西年代也曾經發生過屠殺兩歲以下孩童的悲慘事件, 蒙 主眷顧, 告知抹羊血上門檻, 以躲避士兵的搜查, 此即為逾越節(Passover)的由來.
路加福音 Luke 2:41-49
41 每年到逾越節、他父母就上耶路撒冷去。
Every year his parents
went to Jerusalem
for the Feast of the Passover.
42 當他十二歲的時候、他們按著節期的規矩上去．
When he was twelve years
old, they went up to the Feast, according to the custom.
43 守滿了節期、他門回去、孩童耶穌仍在耶路撒冷．他的父母並不知道．
After the Feast was
over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem , but they were
unaware of it.
44 以為他在同行的人中間、走了一天的路程、就在親族和熟識的人中找他．
Thinking he was in their
company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among
their relatives and friends.
45 既找不著、就回耶路撒冷去找他。
When they did not find
him, they went back to Jerusalem
to look for him.
46 過了三天、就遇見他在殿裡、坐在教師中間、一面聽、一面問。
After three days they
found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them
and asking them questions.
47 凡聽見他的、都希奇他的聰明和他的應對。
Everyone who heard him
was amazed at his understanding and his answers.
48 他父母看見就很希奇．他母親對他說、我兒、為甚麼向我們這樣行呢．看哪、你父親和我傷心來找你。
When his parents saw
him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, "Son, why have you
treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for
you."
49 耶穌說、為甚麼找我呢．豈不知我應當以我父的事為念麼。〔或作豈不知我應當在我父的家裡麼〕
"Why were you
searching for me?" he asked. "Didn't you know I had to be in my
Father's house?"
以上是耶穌基督12歲及以前的記載, 再來12歲~30歲之間的生活片段, 只知道隨約瑟做木匠, 並沒有其他詳情, 一直到近30歲, 由施洗者約翰幫他施洗後, 四處雲遊, 才有更多傳播福音, 偶發神蹟的詳細記載.
