你們一定很奇怪, 怎麼還在講摩西? 殊不知整本舊約聖經裡, 從出埃及記一直到約書亞記, 約莫300頁紀錄都跟摩西有關, 而出埃及記只是他的出場序曲而已.
莫妮可說: 中國人過年時習慣貼上紅色的春聯, 還有徹夜點燈到天明, 甚至點上七天七夜, 可是你知道嗎? 貼紅色的春聯, 不恰似先前所提十大災難時, 希伯來人家為避”頭胎夭折”之難而把羊血塗抹在門檻的舉動嗎? 還有點燈也是啊!
這是巧合嗎? 不! 不是的, 十二支族中, 後來有人由應許之地(以色列)往東一直遷徙到”海邊” (中國大陸)住下, 是他們把這避難的習俗也帶來而傳承下來了.
出埃及記 (Exodus) 28:30
又要將烏陵、和土明、放在決斷的胸牌裡．亞倫進到耶和華面前的時候、要帶在胸前、在耶和華面前常將以色列人的決斷牌帶在胸前。
Also put the Urim and the Thummim in the breastpiece, so they may be over Aaron's heart whenever he enters the presence of the LORD. Thus Aaron will always bear the means of making decisions for the Israelites over his heart before the LORD.
* 烏陵和土明, 就是後來小約瑟史密斯翻譯記載穆爾曼經文金屬片所用的工具.
出埃及記 (Exodus) 31:18
18 耶和華在西乃山和摩西說完了話、就把兩塊法版(十誡)交給他、是 神用指頭寫的石版。
When the LORD finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai , he gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
出埃及記 (Exodus) 20:1-17 ( 十誡 ) 也有人稱為”摩西律法”
第一誡 除了我以外、你不可有別的神。
"You shall have no other gods before me.
第二誡 不可為自己雕刻偶像、也不可作甚麼形像．
"You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form
第三誡 不可妄稱耶和華你 神的名、因為妄稱耶和華名的、耶和華必不以他為無罪。
"You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
第四誡 當記念安息日、守為聖日。
"Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
第五誡 當孝敬父母、使你的日子在耶和華你 神所賜你的地上、得以長久。
"Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
第六誡 不可殺人。
"You shall not murder.
第七誡 不可姦淫。
"You shall not commit adultery.
第八誡 不可偷盜。
"You shall not steal.
第九誡 不可作假見證陷害人。
"You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
第十誡 不可貪戀人的房屋、也不可貪戀人的妻子、僕婢、牛驢、並他一切所有的。
"You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."
出埃及記 (Exodus) 32:1-10, 13-16, 19-20
1 百姓見摩西遲延不下山、就大家聚集到亞倫那裡、對他說、起來、為我們作神像、可以在我們前面引路、因為領我們出埃及地的那個摩西、我們不知道他遭了甚麼事。
When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, "Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt , we don't know what has happened to him."
2 亞倫對他們說、你們去摘下你們妻子兒女耳上的金環、拿來給我。
Aaron answered them, "Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me."
3 百姓就都摘下他們耳上的金環、拿來給亞倫。
So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron.
4 亞倫從他們手裡接過來、鑄了一隻牛犢、用雕刻的器具作成．他們就說、以色列阿、這是領你出埃及地的神。
He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, "These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt ."
5 亞倫看見、就在牛犢面前築壇、且宣告說、明日要向耶和華守節。
When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, "Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD."
6 次日清早、百姓起來獻燔祭、和平安祭、就坐下喫喝、起來玩耍。
So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.
7 耶和華吩咐摩西說、下去罷、因為你的百姓、就是你從埃及地領出來的、已經敗壞了。
Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt , have become corrupt.
8 他們快快偏離了我所吩咐的道、為自己鑄了一隻牛犢、向他下拜獻祭、說、以色列阿、這就是領你出埃及地的神。
They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf. They have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and have said, 'These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt .'
9 耶和華對摩西說、我看這百姓真是硬著頸項的百姓。
"I have seen these people," the LORD said to Moses, "and they are a stiff-necked people.
10 你且由著我、我要向他們發烈怒、將他們滅絕、使你的後裔成為大國。
Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation."
13 求你記念你的僕人亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列．你曾指著自己起誓說、我必使你們的後裔像天上的星那樣多、並且我所應許的這全地、必給你們的後裔、他們要永遠承受為業。
Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel , to whom you swore by your own self: 'I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.'"
14 於是耶和華後悔、不把所說的禍降與他的百姓。
Then the LORD relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened.
15 摩西轉身下山、手裡拿著兩塊法版、這版是兩面寫的、這面那面都有字。
Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands. They were inscribed on both sides, front and back.
16 是 神的工作、字是 神寫的、刻在版上。
The tablets were the work of God; the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.
19 摩西挨近營前、就看見牛犢、又看見人跳舞、便發烈怒、把兩塊版扔在山下摔碎了。
When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain.
20 又將他們所鑄的牛犢、用火焚燒、磨得粉碎、撒在水面上、叫以色列人喝。
And he took the calf they had made and burned it in the fire; then he ground it to powder, scattered it on the water and made the Israelites drink it.
上帝讓摩西帶領眾人在荒野, 總共住了四十年, 觀察他們的信心, 才讓他們前往應許之地. 這期間摩西受召喚前往覲見 耶穌, 受 耶穌的教導, 上帝並於此時開始任命亞倫為聖職人員, 他亦為第一個受任命的聖職人員.
可是因亞倫的偏差行為(鑄金牛膜拜), 上帝的懲處是取消所有聖職人員的任命, 獨留下庶務人員(不能幫人施洗禮, 更無法按立神職人員); 一直到兩千多年後 耶穌的再度來臨, 才重新任命聖職人員.
出埃及記 (Exodus) 25-26 (節略)
耶穌交代摩西依指示建造聖所(教堂), 以及放置石板的約櫃.
出埃及記 (Exodus) 33:10-11
10 眾百姓看見雲柱立在會幕門前、就都起來各人在自己帳棚的門口下拜。
Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to his tent.
11 耶和華與摩西面對面說話、好像人與朋友說話一般．摩西轉到營裡去、惟有他的幫手一個少年人嫩的兒子約書亞、不離開會幕。
The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent.
耶穌所頒給摩西的律法, 其實有很多條文, 也有人稱之為 “摩西律法; 而其中重要的十條, 後世基督徒都奉為 “十誡”.
