We claim the privilege of worshiping
Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men
the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
我們要求依照我們自己良知的指引，崇拜全能的神的特權，並容許所有的人都有此同一特權，讓他們自行抉擇崇拜的方式，處所，或對象。
Sarah Lade(Rick的大女兒), 為我們唸了但以理書的經文, 並略加闡釋經文內容.
但以理書 3:4-6, 12, 19-27

4 傳令官大聲宣佈：「各國、各族、說各種語言的人哪，
Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is
commanded, O people, nations, and languages, aloud: Chaldee, with might it...:
Chaldee, they command
5 你們一聽見號角、簫、七弦琴、箏、豎琴，和所有其他樂器的聲音，都要俯伏敬拜尼布甲尼撒王所立的金像。
That at what time ye hear the sound of the
cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye
fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set
up: dulcimer: or, singing: Chaldee, symphony
6 誰不俯伏敬拜，就要立刻被扔進烈火熊熊的窯裏。」
And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth
shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
12 陛下所指派管理巴比倫省政務的幾個猶太人─沙得拉、米沙、亞伯尼歌卻違背了陛下的命令。他們不拜王的神明，也不向王所立的金像下拜。」
There are certain Jews whom thou hast set
over the affairs of the province
of Babylon , Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve
not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. have...:
Chaldee, have set no regard upon thee
19 尼布甲尼撒王一聽，臉色變了，向沙得拉、米沙、亞伯尼歌大發雷霆。於是王命令左右把火窯燒得比平常熱七倍，
Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and
the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego:
therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven
times more than it was wont to be heated. full: Chaldee, filled
20 又命令軍隊裏最強壯的兵士把這三個人綁起來，扔進火窯裏。
And he commanded the most mighty men that
were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into
the burning fiery furnace. most...: Chaldee, mighty of strength
21 兵士就綁了這三個人，把他們扔進去。當時這三人衣著整齊，穿著內衣、外袍，也戴著帽子。
Then these men were bound in their coats,
their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the
midst of the burning fiery furnace. coats: or, mantles hats: or, turbans
22 由於王的嚴令，窯火燒得非常猛烈，從窯裏冒出的火燄竟把執行命令的兵士燒死了。
Therefore because the king's commandment
was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men
that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. commandment: Chaldee, word flame:

23 那時，沙得拉、米沙、亞伯尼歌仍然被綁著，落入烈火中。
And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and
Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
24 忽然，尼布甲尼撒驚奇地跳了起來，問他的大臣：「我們不是綁了三個人，把他們扔進烈火裏嗎？」他們回答：「是的，陛下。」
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied,
and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast
three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the
king, True, O king. counsellors: or, governors
25 王問：「為甚麼我看見四個人在火中走來走去？他們都沒有被綁住，也沒有一點燒灼的樣子，而那第四個人看來好像是神。」
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men
loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of
the fourth is like the Son of God. they...: Chaldee, there is no hurt in them
26 於是，尼布甲尼撒走近炎熱的窯口，大聲喊：「沙得拉！米沙！亞伯尼歌！至尊上帝的僕人，請出來吧！」他們立刻從火中出來。
Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth
of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and
Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither . Then
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. mouth:

27 所有的總督、省長、副省長，和其他的官員都聚攏在這三個人周圍，發現他們一點灼傷都沒有；頭髮沒有燒焦，衣服沒有燒壞，身上也沒有煙火的氣味。
And the princes, governors, and captains,
and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose
bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither
were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.
Amanda Lade(Rick的二女兒), 也為我們說了另一個有關但以理的事跡:
但以理的同僚知道他敬拜 神, 又見王寵信他, 煽動王頒布全國人民只能敬拜王的律令, 違者處以極刑; 但以理不為所動依然敬拜 神, 被舉發並下放關進獅籠裡, 但以理雖身處獅籠, 但處變不驚, 誠心的禱告, 祈求 神的保護; 王憂心但以理的安危, 探監卻發現但以理與獅子共處一室仍完好如初, 王大驚馬上放他出獄, 稱讚他所信靠的才是真神, 遂頒令全國改歸依敬拜 神.
Joseph (Jai-Yu 的兒子)也與我們分享了一段歷史: 西元4世紀時, 天主教勢力龐大, 經常迫害異教徒, 其中猶以基督徒最是悽慘, 甚而以追捕砍殺基督徒為遊戲. 因著強烈的信心, 以及不住的禱告, 神也彰顯他的力量, 使基督徒也得到適時的保護.
阿爾瑪書16:88-99, 102, 121-122,
126-128 (Alma)
88 他們到了那裡，看啊，他們非常驚訝；他們發現卓倫人建了會堂，每星期在他們稱為主的日子的那一天聚在一起；他們崇拜的方式，是阿爾瑪和他的弟兄從未見過的；
89 他們在會堂中央，築了一個臺子，供人站立，這臺子高過人頭，上面只能容納一人。
90 所以，凡是想要崇拜的人，都得前去站在上面，伸手向天，大聲喊道：
聖哉，神聖之神；我們相信您是神，我們相信您是神聖的，您過去是靈，現在是靈，永遠都是靈。
91 神聖之神，我們相信您把我們和我們的弟兄分開；我們不相信我們弟兄的傳統，那是他們幼稚的祖先傳給他們的；而我們相信您已揀選我們作您聖潔的兒女；
92 您也使我們知道將來不會有基督。 您是昨日、今日、永遠都一樣的；您已揀選我們，使我們將來必得救；而周遭所有的人則註定必被您的憤怒拋下地獄；神啊，為了那聖潔，我們感謝您；
93 我們也感謝您揀選我們，使我們不致被我們弟兄的愚蠢傳統誘入歧途；那傳統限制他們只相信基督，領他們的心遠離您，我們的神。
94 神啊，我們再次感謝您使我們成為精選而聖潔的人民。阿們。
95 事情是這樣的，阿爾瑪和他的弟兄還有他的兒子聽了這些禱告，非常驚奇。
96 因為看啊，每個人都上前作同樣的禱告。
97 他們稱那地方為雷米遏敦，翻譯出來就是聖臺的意思。
98 每個人都在這個臺子上向神作同樣的禱告，感謝他們的神揀選他們，沒有照他們弟兄的傳統引他們走入歧途，沒有讓他們的心被騙，去相信他們一無所知的未來之事。
99 那人民全都照這方式
