長老 Dan 難得來一趟台灣, 今晚在他的吉他合弦伴奏下, 加上Sarah & Amanda兩姐妹的美聲, 因此選唱了幾首有男女聲合唱的歌, 哇! 真是另人難忘的一個夜晚. 接著長老 Dan 藉經文來闡釋有關洗禮, 聖靈和誡律; 並說明身為基督徒的心理態勢以及行為準則:
尼腓二書 2 Nephi 13:6-32
６ 因此，我希望你們要記住我已對你們講過的那位，上主所明示給我知的先知，他必為那位要除去世人罪惡的上主 神的羔羊施洗。
6 Wherefore, I would that ye should remember that I have spoken unto you, concerning that prophet which the Lord shewed unto me, that should baptize the Lamb of God, which should take away the sin of the world.
７ 如果 神的羔羊，他是聖潔的，尚須水的洗禮，來成全一切的正義。我們這些不聖潔的，更如何需要受水的洗禮。
7 And now, if the Lamb of God, he being holy, should have need to be baptized by water to fulfill all righteousness, O then, how much more need have we, being unholy, to be baptized, yea, even by water.
８ 我心愛的弟兄們，現在我要問你們， 神的恙羊受了水的洗禮，他在那一點上成全了一切的正義呢？你們不是知道他是聖善的嗎？
8 And now, I would ask of you, my beloved brethren, wherein the Lamb of God did fulfill all righteousness in being baptized by water? Know ye not that he was holy?
９ 他雖是聖善的，他卻要讓人類兒女看到，他按照肉身，在父的面前謙抑自己，並向父證明，他必用遵守他的誡命來服從他。
9 But notwithstanding he being holy, he sheweth unto the children of men, that according to the flesh, he humbleth himself before the Father, and witnesseth unto the Father that he would be obedient unto him in keeping his commandments;
１０ 因此，當他在水中受洗後，聖靈就以鴿子的形態降在他身上。
10 Wherefore, after he was baptized with water, the Holy Ghost descended upon him in the form of a dove.
完美無瑕的耶穌基督接受洗禮, 為我們立下典範, 生有原罪的我們, 為何不接受洗禮?有誰不想得到罪的赦免?不想擁有永恆的生命?
１１ 並且，他在他們的面前做了榜樣，明示給人類兒女們，他們要走進去的路是直的，門是窄的。
11 And again: It sheweth unto the children of men the straightness of the path, and the narrowness of the gate, by which they should enter, he having set the example before them.
１２ 他對入類兒女們說：你們跟從我。
12 And he said unto the children of men, Follow thou me.
１３ 因此，我心愛的弟兄們，除非我們樂於遵守父的誡命，我們能跟從耶穌嗎？
13 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, can we follow Jesus, save we shall be willing to keep the commandments of the Father?
１４ 父也說過：你們改、你們要悔改，並奉我愛子的名受洗。
14 And the Father said, Repent ye, repent ye, and be baptized in the name of my beloved Son.
１５ 並且，子的聲音曾臨到我說：凡奉我的名受洗的，父必賜聖靈給他，像賜給我一樣；因此，要跟從我，並做你們曾看到我所做的事情。
15 And also, the voice of the Son came unto me, saying, He that is baptized in my name, to him will the Father give the Holy Ghost, like unto me; wherefore, follow me, and do the things which ye have seen me do.
縱使無瑕如耶穌基督, 祂所有的行為, 也是遵守耶和華的誡律,
１６ 因此，我心愛的兄弟們，我知道如果你們用真心誠意跟從子，在 神前不偽善、不欺騙，卻專心一志，悔改你們的罪，對父證明你們樂於藉著洗禮承受基督的名；是的，藉著遵照你們的上主和你們的救主的話，跟隨他下水中，然後你必接受聖靈
16 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, I know that if ye shall follow the Son with full purpose of heart, acting no hypocrisy and no deception before God, but with real intent, repenting of your sins, witnessing unto the Father, that ye are willing to take upon you the name of Christ, by baptism; yea, by following your Lord and your Savior down into the water, according to his word; behold, then shall ye receive the Holy Ghost;
１７ 是的，然後要受火與聖靈的洗禮；然後你們能用天使們的語言說話，並向以色列聖者高聲讚美。
17 Yea, then cometh the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost; and then can ye speak with the tongue of angels, and shout praises unto the Holy One of Israel.
１８ 但是，我心愛的弟兄們，子的聲音這樣臨到了我，說：當你們悔改了你們的罪，藉著水的洗禮向父證明樂於遵守我的誡命，接受了火與聖靈的洗禮，並且能用一種新的語言說話，就是用天使們的語言，如果經過了這些後卻又否認我，你們還是沒有認識我的好。
18 But behold, my beloved brethren, thus came the voice of the Son unto me, saying, After ye have repented of your sins, and witnessed unto the Father that ye are willing to keep my commandments, by the baptism of water, and have received the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost, and can speak with a new tongue, yea, even with the tongue of angels, and after this, should deny me, it would have been better for you, that ye had not known me.
受洗後, 經由有權柄的如長老級神職人員來認證, 才能接受聖靈的賜與, 也才是完成整個洗禮的儀式; 也就是說已跨過窄又直這道路的門檻, 並具備踏上永生之路的條件.
１９ 我聽到從父那裏來的聲音說。我的愛子的話是真實可靠的。
19 And I heard a voice from the Father, saying, Yea, the words of my beloved, are true and faithful.
２０ 凡持守到底的必得救。
20 He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.
２１ 我心愛的兄們，由此我知道，除非一個人持守到底的跟隨活著的 神的兒子的榜樣，他是不能得救的。
21 And now, my beloved brethren, I know by this, that unless a man shall endure to the end, in following the example of the Son of the living God, he can not be saved;
２２ 因此，你們要做我告訴你們的，我所看到你們的上主和你們的救贖主要做的事情
22 Wherefore, do the things which I have told you I have seen, that your Lord and your Redeemer should do:
２３ 因為，那些是為了這緣故而顯給我看的，就是要使你們得以知道你們應當進入的門。
23 For, for this cause have they been shewn unto me, that ye might know the gate by which ye should enter.
２４ 因為那扇你們應當進入的門就是悔改和水的洗禮；然後藉著火和聖靈，你們的罪纔得以赦免。
24 For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and baptism by water: and then cometh a remission of your sins by fire, and by the Holy Ghost.
２５ 然後你們就走上這條通往永生的窄而直的道路；你們已從那扇門走了進去；你們已遵照父與子的誡命做了；
25 And then are ye in this strait and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate; ye have done according to the
commandments of the Father and the Son;
２６ 你們已接受了那為父與子作證的聖靈，來實現他所作的應許，就是如果你們從那條路進去，你們就必得到。
26 And ye have received the Holy Ghost, which witnesses of the Father and the Son, unto the fulfilling of the promise which he hath made, that if ye enter in by the way, ye should receive.
人遵從耶穌基督的規範, 接受洗禮和聖靈, 那就可以到達永生之境了嗎? 不, 這才只是出發的起點而已, 我們還要勤習耶穌基督的話語 - 聖經, 穆爾曼書, 教義與盟約這三本經書.
２７ 我心愛的弟兄們，在你們已走進這條窄而直的道路後，我要問是否一切都已做完了？
27 And now, my beloved brethren, after ye have gotten into this strait and narrow path, I would ask, if all is done?
２８ 我告訴你們，沒有；因為你們還沒有走得那麼遠，除非你們藉著基督的話語，和對他的不可動搖的信心，完全依靠著那位有極大拯救力量者的功勞。
28 Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far, save it were by the word of Christ, with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to save;
２９ 因此，你們必須用對上主的堅定信心向前進，懷著一種十分光明的希望，以及對 神和對所人的愛心。
29 Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men.
時時的禱告, 遵循聖靈的引導, 祈求 神給予最佳的選擇. 這也是基督徒每天必然例行的功課.
３０ 因此，如果你們向前推進，以上主的話為樂事，並持守到底，父這樣說：你們必得到永生。
30 Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal
life.
３１ 我心愛的弟兄們，這就是那條道路；天底下決沒有任何別的道路和別的名字曾賜給過，使世人得藉以在 神國中得救。
31 And now behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven, whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God.
３２ 這就是基督的教義，也就是那原是一位的，父，子和聖靈的唯一而真實的教義，直到永遠。阿們。
32 And now behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen.
課後以水果代茶點, 健康吃, 再來打打乒乓, 玩健康. 今晚真是美好的一夜. 感謝主!
