如果仿效耶穌基督的謙卑舉止,我們將擁有天上的財富、榮耀、和完整的生命,正如耶穌基督試圖讓我們去擁有的一樣.
謙 卑 Humility 生命典範 As a way of life
長老多道福的開場白,好像晨鐘般在耳邊迴盪,說得太簡單,做起來卻是不容易.
箴言 Proverbs 22:4
4 敬畏耶和華心存謙卑、就得富有、尊榮、生命為賞賜。
Humility and the fear of the LORD bring wealth and honor and life.
以謙卑的心,敬畏耶和華;以謙卑的心,善待眾芳鄰.所以說擁有一顆謙卑的心,就是基督徒的特質,也不為過.因為這也是建立起 神的王國所必需的特質.
箴言 Proverbs 16:18
18 驕傲在敗壞以先．狂心在跌倒之前。
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.
謙卑的對立面,就是驕傲,那將會使我們陷入無止境抱怨的困境.
約翰一書 I John 4:20
20 人若說、我愛 神、卻恨他的弟兄、就是說謊話的．不愛他所看見的弟兄、就不能愛沒有看見的 神。〔有古卷作怎能愛沒有看見的 神呢〕
If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
I.耶穌基督是我們謙卑的榜樣 Jesus is our Example of Humility
腓立比書 Philippians 2:1-5
1 所以在基督裡若有甚麼勸勉、愛心有甚麼安慰、聖靈有甚麼交通、心中有甚麼慈悲憐憫、
If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,
2 你們就是意念相同、愛心相同、有一樣的心思、有一樣的意念、使我的喜樂可以滿足。
then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.
3 凡事不可結黨、不可貪圖虛浮的榮耀．只要存心謙卑、各人看別人比自己強。
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
4 各人不要單顧自己的事、也要顧別人的事。
Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
5 你們當以基督耶穌的心為心。
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
在這個章節禮,使徒保羅告知我們要學習以謙卑的心,來服侍教會的弟兄姐妹.如同耶穌基督曾經對門徒所做的一樣.
馬太福音 Matthew 11:29
29 我心裡柔和謙卑、你們當負我的軛、學我的樣式、這樣、你們心裡就必得享安息。
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
謙 卑 的 心, 就 是 幫 忙 別 人.
路加福音 Luke 22:27
27 是誰為大、是坐席的呢、是服事人的呢．不是坐席的大麼．然而我在你們中間、如同服事人的。
For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves
1.典範之一：耶穌基督為門徒洗濯雙腳
The example of Jesus washing the disciple’s feet
馬太福音 Matthew 20:27-28
27 誰願為首、就必作你們的僕人．
and whoever wants to be first must be your slave--
28 正如人子來、不是要受人的服事、乃是要服事人．並且要捨命、作多人的贖價。
just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
約翰福音 John 13:5
5 隨後把水倒在盆裡、就洗門徒的腳、並用自己所束的手巾擦乾。
After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
約翰福音 John 13:12-16
12 凡有的、還要加給他、叫他有餘．凡沒有的、連他所有的、也要奪去。
Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.
13 所以我用比喻對他們講、是因他們看也看不見、聽也聽不見、也不明白。
This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
14 在他們身上、正應了以賽亞的豫言、說、『你們聽是要聽見、卻不明白．看是要看見、卻不曉得．』
In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: "'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
15 因為這百姓油蒙了心、耳朵發沉、眼睛閉著．恐怕眼睛看見、耳朵聽見、心裡明白、回轉過來、我就醫治他們。
For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.'
16 但你們的眼睛是有福的、因為看見了你們的耳朵也是有福的、因為聽見了。
But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.
記得剛到台灣,在基隆教會進門前要先脫鞋,剛開始有些不習慣,一直想問：這是哪裡的規矩?後來得知是 Eileen 她們來了之後,因為基於愛護環境清潔,想出來的;(課後打掃很累,很少人會主動留下來打掃)就一直延續到今天,我們才有一個隨時都乾乾淨淨的上課地方.
放下身段,不計較的付出,使她們認同這地方;這跟耶穌基督服侍的精神不謀而合à這也是謙卑的、榮耀神的心.

41 我不受從人來的榮耀。
"I do not accept praise from men,
約翰福音 John 6:38
38 因為我從天上降下來、不是要按自己的意思行、乃是要按那差我來者的意思行。
For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.
約翰福音 John 8:50
50 我不求自己的榮耀．有一位為我求榮耀定非的。
I am not seeking glory for myself; but there is one who seeks it, and he is the judge.
約翰福音 John 14:10
10 我在父裡面、父在我裡面、你不信麼。我對你們所說的話、不是憑著自己說的、乃是住在我裡面的父作他自己的事。
Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.
我們必需盡全力去做一位稱職的耶穌基督的僕人.想想高貴如君王的耶穌基督,他是怎樣對他的門徒的.
今天一開始Skype連線就不順,常常Lag,也重連幾次;說時遲,那時快Skype再次的斷訊,看看時間12:30了(美國夏令時間已開始,是晚間11:30),沒再試著連線,遂打網路電話來交代,自行閱讀講義,自行唱詩歌,記得課後禱告.享用美味午餐.(今午餐是艾琳所準備有五種顏色的五行麵餐)未講完的上課內容,稍後再PO上.
