摩羅乃書 Moroni 7:52
５２ 因此，你們要牢守著博愛，那是一切事物中最偉大的，因為一切事物都必失敗；但博愛是基督純正的愛，這種愛持守到永遠；凡在末日被斷定具有博愛的，他的景況一定很好。
52 Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail; but charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth for ever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with them.
哥林多前書 I Corinthians 13:1-8; 13
13:1 我若能說人和天使的方言，卻沒有愛，我就成了鳴的鑼、響的鈸。
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels but do not have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
13:2 我若有申言的恩賜，也明白一切的奧秘，和一切的知識，並有全備的信，以致能夠移山，卻沒有愛，我就算不得什麼。
And if I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
13:3 我若將我一切所有的變賣為食物分給人吃，又捨己身叫我可以誇口，卻沒有愛，仍然與我無益。
And if I dole out all my possessions to feed others, and if I deliver up my body that I may boast, but do not have love, I profit nothing.
13:4 愛是恆久忍耐，又有恩慈；愛是不嫉妒；愛是不自誇，不張狂，
Love suffers long. Love is kind; it is not jealous. Love does not brag and is not puffed up;
13:5 不作不合宜的事，不求自己的益處，不輕易發怒，不計算人的惡，
It does not behave unbecomingly and does not seek its own things; it is not provoked and does not take account of evil;
13:6 不因不義而歡樂，卻與真理同歡樂；
It does not rejoice because of unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
13:7 凡事包容，凡事相信，凡事盼望，凡事忍耐。
It covers all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
13:8 愛是永不敗落；但申言終必歸於無用，方言終必停止，知識也終必歸於無用。
Love never falls away. But whether prophecies, they will be rendered useless; or tongues, they will cease; or knowledge, it will be rendered useless.
13:13 如今常存的，有信、望、愛這三樣，其中最大的是愛。
Now there abide faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
詩歌詠嘆後, 法蘭克長老帶領大家課前禱告祈福, 瑞克牧師一口氣, 就連續朗讀了幾段, 都是有關博愛 Charity 的經文, 並反問大家: 愛和博愛有什麼不同? 其實, 答案就在剛剛所朗讀的三段經文裡.
基督的愛是無私的分享, 而世人的愛, 為了保護自己, 往往懷著敵意; 這樣一來就可以區分出, 何為博愛, 何為愛了.
今天, 身為基督追隨者的我們, 當以愛出發, 且無私的分享; 也就說我們是受到召喚, 遵從主耶穌基督的恩慈誡命, 以達到身為基督徒, 應該做到的本份, 如此一來, 就能得到更多, 來自上主的恩慧與賜福.
彼得前書 I Peter 4:8
4:8 最要緊的，是彼此熱切相愛，因為愛能遮蓋眾多的罪。
Above all, have fervent love among yourselves, because love covers a multitude of sins.
經文裡也明白指出, 所有的誡命都應遵守, 而其中最為重要且為大的誡命, 就是愛!
哥林多前書 I Corinthians 13:3
13:3 我若將我一切所有的變賣為食物分給人吃，又捨己身叫我可以誇口，卻沒有愛，仍然與我無益。
And if I dole out all my possessions to feed others, and if I deliver up my body that I may boast, but do not have love, I profit nothing.
這裡解釋說, 不管有錢人多會放賑濟貧, 少了該有的愛心, 一切的作為, 甭說一點意義都沒有, 也得不到該有的祝福.
哥林多前書 I Corinthians 13:4
13:4 愛是恆久忍耐，又有恩慈；愛是不嫉妒；愛是不自誇，不張狂，
Love suffers long. Love is kind; it is not jealous. Love does not brag and is not puffed up;
面對於世事無理的態度, 除了容忍之外, 還要能不忌妒他人的長處, 或是欣羨他人所擁有的.
哥林多前書 I Corinthians 13:5
13:5 不作不合宜的事，不求自己的益處，不輕易發怒，不計算人的惡，
It does not behave unbecomingly and does not seek its own things; it is not provoked and does not take account of evil;
這裡所說的, 無非就是我們常說的 “己所不欲, 勿施於人”, 也就是本身不喜歡的, 也不能加諸在別人的身上. 簡單來說一句話, 就是不要做壞事啦!

13:6 不因不義而歡樂，卻與真理同歡樂；
It does not rejoice because of unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
主耶穌基督在世時, 無論言行之間, 凡事以愛為名, 循循善誘世人, 舉止風範都足以成為人們的經典.
以上種種, 如能銘記在心, 就可以成為主耶穌基督的追隨者, 只是要時時反省自己, 不要成為別人口中, 所說的言行不一的假基督徒.
學習基督的愛是至要的. 我和一個客戶, 持續工作三四個小時, 才回到家, 他又馬上來電話, 抱怨個不停, 我實在是很累, 氣頭上數落他幾句- 真是煩啊你!
隔天一早, 我深感不妥, 必竟是客戶, 馬上寫信致意並鄭重道歉; 對方老闆事後知道此事, 知道錯不在我, 安慰我說他本身就是這樣的一個人, 事情也沒那麼嚴重, 大可不必在意, 也不用致歉啦!
雖說對方老闆沒有怪罪於我, 還幫我跟他說好話, 可是自此以後, 他抱怨的次數, 少了很多, 我認為這個Sorry事小, 無意間卻收到宏效, 還是值得的.
“愛是 神賜給我們最美好的禮物, 因為 神就是愛, 愛沒有分別, 愛也不分大小, 只要全心全意, 就是最美好的愛.”
