記得我們近幾個星期日, 不管是長老 Dan, Duff或牧師 Matthew 與我都在談論有關”聖靈”對我們的作工和影響; 今天, 我要讓各位知道聖靈藉由傳訊者 – 天使, 因聖靈對我們身心的種種影響, 以及因堅定的信心和遵守誡律, 所得到的報償.

尼腓一書 1 Nephi 3:80-81

80 天使又對我說：看！我看過去，就看見天又開了，

And it came to pass that the angel spake unto me again, saying: Look! And I looked, and I beheld the heavens open again,

81 我看見天使降在人類兒女當中；而他們施助他們。

And I saw angels descending upon the children of men; and they did minister unto them.

其實, 天使一直都在我們身旁, 只是我們並不知道而已, 他們隱身人群之中, 伺機勸告周遭的友朋, 要悔改, 要有信心, 如此一來你就可以看見恩典, 奇蹟式的降臨在你的身上.

希拉曼書 Helaman 2:73

祂從父那裡獲得權能，以救贖悔改之人脫離罪惡，因此，祂派遣天使宣布悔改條件的信息。悔改能帶來救贖主的力量，使他們的靈魂獲得救恩。

And he hath power given unto him from the Father to redeem them from their sins because of repentance; therefore he hath sent his angels to declare the tidings of the conditions of repentance, which bringeth unto the power of the Redeemer, unto the salvation of their souls.

摩羅乃書 Moroni 7:30-33,41

30 看啊，我告訴你們，沒有，天使也沒有停止施助人類兒女。

Behold I say unto you, Nay; neither have angels ceased to minister unto the children of men.

31 因為看啊，天使臣服於祂，照祂命令的話施助，向在一切神聖事物上信心堅強、意志堅定的人顯現。

For behold, they are subject unto him, to minister according to the word of his command, showing themselves unto them of strong faith and a firm mind in every form of godliness.

現在, 我隨意翻讀一篇內容, 提供給大家略微了解文章的內涵: (藍本)

“當我小的時候, 家裡很窮, 褲子都是一補再補, 湊合著穿, 姐姐則是找報紙或牛皮紙, 搓成一團來塞住牆壁的縫隙, 以抵擋不時入侵的寒風.”

32 他們事工的職責是召喚世人悔改、履行並執行父與人類兒女所立聖約中的事，以及藉著向主揀選的器皿宣布基督的話，使他們能為祂作見證。

And the office of their ministry is to call men unto repentance, and to fulfil and to do the work of the covenants of the Father, which he hath made unto the children of men, to prepare the way among the children of men, by declaring the word of Christ unto the chosen vessels of the Lord, that they may bear testimony of him.

“父親是個水電工人, 每月淨賺也不過幾十塊錢, 卻有一大半是要應付房租的, 剩下的只夠糊口, 日子就在艱苦中渡過. 我們的房屋在街道的底端, 往往下班時刻, 我們幾個小孩都會擠在門前, 看似迎接辛勞工作一天的父親, 其實個個都豎起耳朵, 傾聽父親口袋裡銅板撞擊的聲音, 猜測他今天工作是否順利.

33 而在人類兒女間預備道路，主神這樣做以預備道路，讓剩餘的世人對基督有信心，使聖靈按其力量在他們心裡有地位；

And by so doing, the Lord God prepareth the way that the residue of men may have faith in Christ, that the Holy Ghost may have place in their hearts, according to the power thereof; and after this manner bringeth to pass the Father, the covenants which he hath made unto the children of men.

一晚, 照往常一樣在等收工的父親時, 街道中出現了一位白鬍子的長者, 有點不尋常的在唱著歌, (因他不是在募款或街頭藝人獻唱) 一路行走到我家門前, 開口跟母親要麵包或餅乾止饑, 母親想說大概還有剩一些, 轉身拿出家中僅有的兩張餅, 遞給了他說: 我們家並不富有, 能給的就這麼多, 拿去吧!

41 看啊，我告訴你們，不會；因為是憑著信心才行奇蹟的，是憑著信心，天使才顯現並施助世人的；

Behold I say unto you, Nay; for it is by faith that miracles are wrought; and it is by faith that angels appear and minister unto men; wherefore, if these things have ceased wo be unto the children of men, for it is because of unbelief, and all is vain.

白鬍子的長者此時忽然開口說: 因為妳犧牲奉獻的精神, 我特祈求上主賜福給你們一家, 自此衣食無缺, 又上前一步, 順手搭著我的肩並親吻我的額頭說: 你將來要成為一位神職人員, 母親又轉身取出兩個銅板, 準備給白鬍子的長者, 此時才發現他已消失無蹤.

當晚, 賦歸的父親, 顯然十分高興, 因我們也都聽到他框榔作響的口袋裡, 似乎塞滿了銅板, 他未進家門, 就迫不及待的對著門口大聲喊說: 我承接了一個工程, 至少可以讓我做上大半年沒問題, 卻只見目瞪口呆的母親, 一句話也說不出口; 自此父親的工作一帆風順.

多年以後, 父母親每每提起此事, 總認為那白鬍子的長者 – 就是天使的化身! (本文作者約於1980年代以高壽過世)
