                           Happy Double Tenth Day      慶祝雙十國慶

The Church of Jesus Christ Taiwan Restoration Mission

                                                 October 1st (Friday  19:30 pm - 22:45 pm)

                                    October 3rd (Sunday 10:30 am - 13:30 pm)
Romans 9
It is not as though God's word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.

Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham's children. On the contrary, "It is
through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned."

In other words, it is not the natural children who are God's children, but it is the children of
the promise who are regarded as Abraham's offspring.

Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the
sea, only the remnant will be saved.

but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it.

Romans 10
Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."  )

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

                                  October 5th (Tuesday 19:30 pm - 22:00 pm)

                                         October 10 (Sunday 10:30 am - 13:30 pm)

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.

Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,

so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.

If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach;

if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.

On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

其中的 Do and Don't 希望大家能明瞭箇中真意, 力行 Do 所及的一切, 千萬不要碰 Don't 所說的任何一件.

                                             October 12th (Tuesday 19:30 pm - 22:15 pm)

(Those Who Came: Monica, Eileen, Cathy, Sharon, Belinda, Ray, Cuttle, Rachel, Eric, Ivan)

                                  October 15th (Friday 18:00 pm - 19:30 pm - 22:30 pm)

Coffee.

1. Qualities of a christian: kind/ hospitable/ happy/ cheerful/ chairitable/ faithful/ peaceful/ truthful/ sincere/ honest/ resposible/ blessed/ satisfied/ diligent/ proactive/ obedient/ joyful/ makes sacrifices/ lovely/ charming/ fantastic/ gifted/ wise/ harmonious/ missionary/ intelligent/ willing/ smiling/ strong/ easy-going/ 隨後 Monica 又補上 prayerful/ forgiving/ repentent/ baptized/ peculiar 等等.

2. Quality VS.

課後, 觀看由湯師傅帶來的影片 " No Arms No Legs No Worries " 有關一位天生四肢不全的男人 Nick Vujicic 尼克 .

(Those Who Came: Monica, Eileen, Eric, Jane, Sharon, Tom) Nick Vujicic(Rachel)

                                   October 17th (Sunday 10:30 am - 14:00 pm)

Romans 13
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.

The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.

Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

Romans 14
For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone.

If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

It is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'"

So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil.

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.

Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.

Sharon Chen
