今天, 我還是要再跟各位談談有關聖靈, 對我們身心的種種影響, 剛才頌讚的詩歌歌詞, 在字裡行間, 有著 神對我們的叮嚀、囑咐, 在在都是提昇我們聖靈的強度與厚度.
當你認定耶穌基督是主, 接受洗禮後, 你會感覺到那股似暖流, 又似帶點電流的聖靈, 流竄全身脈絡, 使人通體舒暢, 沒錯, 就是這一份來自上主的厚賜 – 聖靈對那菲律賓人的最佳寫照.
它有時候, 就像個撫慰者, 安撫身心具疲的我們, 使我們得以充滿喜悅之情; 有時又像個智者, 指點我們的迷津, 如前些時候 Rachel 轉換跑道, 讓她順利找到新工作; 但是, 聖靈彰顯在我們身上的就只有這些嗎? 它又會如何作工在我們身上呢?
列王記上 1 Kings 18:36-40
36 到了獻晚祭的時候、先知以利亞近前來、說、亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的 神、耶和華阿、求你今日使人知道你是以色列的 神、也知道我是你的僕人、又是奉你的命行這一切事。
At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: "O LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command.
37 耶和華阿、求你應允我、應允我、使這民知道你耶和華是 神、又知道是你叫這民的心回轉。
Answer me, O LORD, answer me, so these people will know that you, O LORD, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again."
38 於是耶和華降下火來、燒盡燔祭、木柴、石頭、塵土、又燒乾溝裡的水。
Then the fire of the LORD fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.
39 眾民看見了、就俯伏在地、說、耶和華是 神、耶和華是 神。
When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried, "The LORD--he is God! The LORD--he is God!"
40 以利亞對他們說、拿住巴力的先知、不容一人逃脫。眾人就拿住他們．以利亞帶他們到基順河邊、在那裡殺了他們。
Then Elijah commanded them, "Seize the prophets of Baal. Don't let anyone get away!" They seized them, and Elijah had them brought down to the Kishon Valley and slaughtered there.
先知以利亞, 受到朝拜巴力神偶的人士的壓迫, 是這一份來自萬能的 神, 上主的厚賜 – 聖靈, 讓他得以大獲全勝, 也讓眾民深刻了解到耶和華是 神, 且是唯一的 真神.
列王記上 1 Kings 19:4-9, 11-13, 15-18
4 自己在曠野走了一日的路程、來到一棵羅騰樹下．〔羅騰小樹名松類下同〕就坐在那裡求死、說、耶和華阿、罷了．求你取我的性命、因為我不勝於我的列祖。
while he himself went a day's journey into the desert. He came to a broom tree, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. "I have had enough, LORD," he said. "Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors."
5 他就躺在羅騰樹下、睡著了．有一個天使拍他、說、起來喫罷。
Then he lay down under the tree and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, "Get up and eat."
6 他觀看見頭旁有一瓶水、與炭火燒的餅、他就喫了喝了、仍然躺下。
He looked around, and there by his head was a cake of bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again.
7 耶和華的使者第二次來拍他、說、起來喫罷、因為你當走的路甚遠．
The angel of the LORD came back a second time and touched him and said, "Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you."
8 他就起來喫了喝了、仗著這飲食的力、走了四十晝夜、到了 神的山、就是何烈山。
So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.
9 他在那裡進了一個洞、就住在洞中．耶和華的話臨到他說、以利亞阿、你在這裡作甚麼．
There he went into a cave and spent the night. And the word of the LORD came to him: "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
神給予先知以利亞, 新的方向, 除按立哈薛為王, 並傳頌耶穌基督為人們的犧牲奉獻, 且信靠耶和華接受洗禮者能得到永生的福音; 先知以利亞因親身驗證了 主的神力無邊, 讓他深刻體會到, 全心傾聽 神的聲音, 全力服膺 神的誡律, 祂會指引你走上一條端莊的正途.
11 耶和華說、你出來站在山上、在我面前。那時耶和華從那裡經過、在他面前有烈風大作、崩山碎石、耶和華卻不在風中．風後地震、耶和華卻不在其中．
The LORD said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by." Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.
12 地震後有火、耶和華也不在火中．火後有微小的聲音．
After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
13 以利亞聽見、就用外衣蒙上臉、出來站在洞口．有聲音向他說、以利亞阿、你在這裡作甚麼．
When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. Then a voice said to him, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
15 耶和華對他說、你回去、從曠野往大馬色去．到了那裡、就要膏哈薛作亞蘭王．
The LORD said to him, "Go back the way you came, and go to the Desert of Damascus. When you get there, anoint Hazael king over Aram.
16 又膏寧示的孫子耶戶作以色列王．並膏亞伯米何拉人沙法的兒子以利沙作先知接續你。
Also, anoint Jehu son of Nimshi king over Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat from Abel Meholah to succeed you as prophet.
17 將來躲避哈薛之刀的、必被耶戶所殺．躲避耶戶之刀的、必被以利沙所殺．
Jehu will put to death any who escape the sword of Hazael, and Elisha will put to death any who escape the sword of Jehu.
18 但我在以色列人中為自己留下七千人、是未曾向巴力屈膝的、未曾與巴力親嘴的。
Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel--all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and all whose mouths have not kissed him."
今天, 我們除了效法先知的德行, 也當全力宣傳福音, 若是能這麼做, 祂必會當你腳旁的燈,並伴隨你走上康莊大道, 迎向永恆的未來.
使徒行傳 Acts 8:26-38
26 有主的一個使者對腓利說、起來、向南走、往那從耶路撒冷下迦薩的路上去。那路是曠野。
Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, "Go south to the road--the desert road--that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza."
27 腓利就起身去了．不料、有一個埃提阿伯〔即古實見以賽亞十八章一節〕人、是個有大權的太監、在埃提阿伯女王干大基的手下總管銀庫、他上耶路撒冷禮拜去了．
So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship,
28 現在回來、在車上坐著、念先知以賽亞的書。
and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the book of Isaiah the prophet.
29 聖靈對腓利說、你去貼近那車走。
The Spirit told Philip, "Go to that chariot and stay near it."
30 腓利就跑到太監那裡、聽見他念先知以賽亞的書、便問他說、你所念的、你明白麼。
Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. "Do you understand what you are reading?" Philip asked.
31 他說、沒有人指教我、怎能明白呢。於是請腓利上車、與他同坐。
"How can I," he said, "unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
之前你們或 Rachel 經常邀約同學或同事或親友來教會, 也許這就是受到聖靈的驅使, 不由自主的舉動, 但這是很好的行為; 不過像經書記載, 聖靈告訴某倆使徒, 不要前往他們原本想去的國度, 以免遭到殺害, 只要聽從聖靈的話, 都不會有錯.
32 他所念的那段經、說、『他像羊被牽到宰殺之地、又像羊羔在剪毛的人手下無聲、他也是這樣不開口。
The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture: "He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
33 他卑微的時候、人不按公義審判他．〔原文作他的審判被奪去〕誰能述說他的世代、因為他的生命從地上奪去。』
In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth."
34 太監對腓利說、請問、先知說這話、是指著誰、是指著自己呢、是指著別人呢。
The eunuch asked Philip, "Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?"
35 腓利就開口從這經上起、對他傳講耶穌。
Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.
36 二人正往前走、到了有水的地方．太監說、看哪、這裡有水、我受洗有甚麼妨礙呢。〔有古卷在此有若是一心相信〕
As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?"
37 〔腓利說你可以他回答說我信耶穌基督是 神的兒子〕
38 於是吩咐車站住、腓利和太監二人同下水裡去、腓利就給他施洗。
And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.
Jay-Yu：前些年, 因為金融風暴, 美國房地產慘跌, 我直到近幾個月, 才動了換新家的念頭, 為此也曾做過兩個夢, 感覺有個聲音(咸信是來自於聖靈的啟示), 一直都贊成我們換屋的舉動, 卻因個人、家庭因素及其他事情的牽絆, 至今仍未換成.
孰料, 此時房價卻節節高昇, 已超脫我們原先估計的預算, 看起來換屋行動只能暫時打消, 更沒想到的是, 原本的鄰居, 也一個個悄悄的搬走…; 沒聽從那個”聲音 ”的指引, 我承認我錯了, 我們現在開始擔心的是, 再來的新鄰居的素質了.
Matthew：我也是借這次事件, 從新開始學習”聽從內心裡的那個聲音 ”, 不管如何還是要感謝 神曾給予機會, 如果還有下一次的機會, 我們會把握住, 一定聽從”聲音”的指示; 今天趁機在此跟大家分享(有關來自於聖靈的啟示), 相信耶和華的指引能賜給大家平安, 並走上坦途.
長老 Dan 總結說：研讀經書, 會增長我們的知識與慧根, 聖靈卻是在祈禱中給予的啟示, 這樣一來就決定了你今後的行徑方向; 所以, 重要的是, 學習如何傾聽並遵從內心裡的那個聲音, 相信是我們大家共同的目標.
